Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 has now surpassed the 300 crore mark in its worldwide earnings. The film has joined the exclusive 300 crore club within a span of 10 days, with significant contributions from the second weekend.
In Tamil Nadu, the film has amassed over 110 crores, highlighting the franchise’s strong audience pull. Although the majority of its run is complete, it is projected to add another 40 crores at the TN box office in the coming weeks.
However, it is improbable for PS2 to surpass the collections of PS1. The film has failed to generate the same excitement and frenzy as its predecessor. The ticket pressure experienced during the second weekend of the first part is absent here, indicating that PS2 might reach close to the 400 crore mark in global collections instead.
